Local Union 160 was originally chartered on August 30, 1938 with a total of 13 members.  Today our membership consists of 2,900 of our Brothers and Sisters who work for seventy-seven different companies under forty-two different contracts throughout the State of Minnesota.

Local 160's office is comprised of our Business Manager/Financial Secretary, seven Business Representatives, one Membership Development Coordinator and three office staff personnel.

Our goal as a union is to keep our membership strong and continue to work together for the betterment of the union.  Organizing is always a top priority with the I.B.E.W. as it is with Local 160.

This website was re-created to better communicate with our members and with non-members who might be interested in obtaining union representation or who is interested in obtaining an application for becoming an apprentice lineman through the Missouri Valley Apprenticeship Program (see resource links for more information).
